Production blog
Our journey began with a simple but powerful idea: a teenager with dreams of becoming a street racecar driver. We wanted to create a story that captured the struggles, excitement, and growth of our main character as he moves from high school to the world of street racing. Nathaniel, David, and I brainstormed ideas and outlined the key moments in his journey. We wanted the film to show his internal battle, balancing his ambition with the pressure from his family and society. As we developed the script, we made sure to incorporate thrilling racing scenes and emotional moments that would make the audience root for him. Our story followed him from his early days as a high school student, through his first taste of street racing, to his growth as a skilled driver. Nathaniel focused on creating authentic dialogue, while I took charge of the structure and pacing. We found inspiration in real stories of young racers and their challenges, which added depth to our character. Once we had a solid outline, we worked together to flesh out each scene, making sure it felt realistic and grounded. We focused on capturing the high-energy atmosphere of street racing while also showing how it affects the character’s relationships with friends and family. After several revisions, we were happy with the script and ready to move into pre-production. We had a clear vision for the film, and the excitement to bring it to life was building. The next step was casting and finding the right locations that would match our story’s vibe. With the script finished, we couldn’t wait to dive into the production process.
